Sophie - Suffolk Child Counselling
We are fortunate that Sophie, from Suffolk Child Counselling, works closely with several children in our school who require support.

Sophie provides a creative counselling service for children and young people aged 4 -18. She works using both play-based and arts-based therapies. Creative counselling involves the children using art forms such as paint, drawing, clay, toys, sand, games and more to express their feelings. Sophie uses a relational approach to enable children to work through trauma and emotions and to develop healthy coping techniques which they can take out into their day-to-day lives.
Sophie supports children who are experiencing
- anxiety
-
bereavement
-
stress
-
depression
-
low self-esteem
-
anger
-
challenging relationships
-
trauma
and more.
As a school, your child's mental health and well-being is always at the forefront of our mind and if we feel your child would benefit from participating in counselling sessions with Sophie, we will discuss this with both you and your child.
Sophie works in several local schools, but also offers private sessions. More information can be found on her website:
"It's a happy place to be with Sophie. She makes your feelings and worries go away. I loved the arts and crafts as I find it relaxing. If it helped me, I bet it would help you if you have those feelings too. If you're feeling down, Sophie is great to talk to and makes you feel better."
