3 Days of STEM
We had a brilliant 3 days spent enjoying Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
On the first day of our 3 Days of STEM, we enjoyed completing a series of Coding challenges as well as exploring Microbits! During the afternoon, we designed our own Apps and watched Mr Williams' Science Show!
On the second day of our 3 Days of STEM, we explored the digestive system by making our own poo! We also learned about the states of matter through melting and setting chocolate - and yes we got to eat some! Finally, we learned about the science behind bubbles and made some HUGE bubbles which we could fit inside! During the afternoon, the whole school worked in teams to create a structure made from cardboard which could hold the weight of all members of the group. It really tested our team-work and problem-solving skills!
On the third day of our 3 Days of STEM, we had a maths-filled morning, followed by a STEM fair during the afternoon which our families were invited to. We were able to showcase all that we had learned over the past couple of days. We also announced the winners of our STEM toy challenge.
We made it into the local newspaper! Click the link below to read all about it:
